PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIESThe Accounts Payable Team Lead is a
key customer service position within Transplace. This position is
responsible for managing resolution of Carrier invoice
discrepancies and communicating internally/externally with various
teams and carriers.Demonstrate Transplace Leadership Principleso

invoice issuesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKSReports to Accounts
Payable Supervisor to assist in leading team to meet directives of
upper management.Provide support for Audit/CSI teams as related to
carrier communications and full invoice discrepancy resolution
using Transplace guidelines, carrier contracts, and customer
business rules.Facilitate communication between AP teams and
Operations teams to work collaboratively on issues affecting their
account(s).Create, train and implement information regarding
Transplace Audit/CSI processes. Including building invoice only
MEs.Know and understand account specific requirements - required
charges, customer business rules, carrier contracts, etc.Constant
innovation of the behind the scenes action within TMSF - how things
work vs. how they should work. Work with IT to create specialized
product that best addresses needsMaintain up-to-date policies and
procedures.Cultivate and maintain relationships among internal
operations teams.Research, daily/weekly KPI reporting, and special
projects as assigned.Working knowledge of multiple Transplace
accounts with an intermediate level or above understanding of
Transplace business as it pertains to Accounts Payable within the
company.Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISEAdvanced
knowledge of Microsoft Tools and other applications: Ability to
leverage Excel and other MS programs, including Outlook, Skype,
etc.Knowledge of the Oracle or Comparable ERP System, specifically,
Accounts Payable module(s).Knowledge of Transplace TMS, Shipment
Planning, Shipment Entry, Shipment Execution, and TMS LiteAdvanced
knowledge of TMSF and root cause of TMSF issues.Knowledge of BI
reporting and ability to extrapolate data from
archives.SKILLSAbility to interpret Carrier Pricing
Agreements/contract language.Effective analytical and
problem-solving capabilities.Ability to envision and implement new
concepts/strategies.Advanced organizational and time management
skills, able to handle multiple projects/tasks at once.Advanced
knowledge of accounting/transportation terminology.TRAVELThis job
does not require travel.EXPERIENCEAt least 1 year in Finance,
specifically Accounts Payable or Audit preferred but not required.
At least a year in previous 3PL/Transportation related field
preferred but not required.EDUCATIONHigh school degree or GED
requiredBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
