Overview:** $5,000 Sign-On Bonus**Operates and maintains
equipment and takes radiographs of various portions of the body to
assist radiologist in detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of
disease and injuriesPositions patients under machine and regulates
controlsMay also process exposed film by automatic developer or
hand tank solutionA Level II Radiologic Technologist / CT
Technologist provides healthcare customer services to patients,
families and guests of all ages. Radiologic Technologist II
maintains credentials and skills of multiple modalities. A
radiologic technologist II performs radiographic procedures and
related techniques producing diagnostic imaging information for the
interpretation by and at the request of a licensed practitioner .
The Radiologic Technologist Level II exercises professional
judgment in performance of services while maintaining a demeanor
complimentary to medical ethics. Level II technologists are
required to control and maintain a safe examination and working
environment. A Radiologic Technologist II must be licensed by the
State of Arkansas and the ARRT registry is
preferred.Responsibilities:Practices proficient basic computer
knowledge.Maintains accurate quality control logs.Operates
equipment consistent with manufacturers instructions.Maintains a
high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.Maintains
archival storage of digitized data as appropriate.Practices an
understanding of CT physics.Practices an understanding of image
formulation.Practices the ability to localize CT
procedures.Performs modifications to protocols per request of
Radiologist.Operates the CT gantry and couch.Is qualified by the
Medical Director for contrasted procedures.Practices correct use of
windowing and leveling.Correctly transfers images to PACS system;
including correct pt. name, Medical Record #, Accession #, D.O.B. &
Procedure being performedCan correctly burn a CDCorrectly completes
procedure information in MEDITECH onall pts; including NP
ChargesPerforms quality control for contrast resolution.Procedure
competency - Brain CT Scan W / WO contrastProcedure competency -
Abdomen W / WO contrastProcedure competency- Pancreas CT W / WO

Invasive CT LocalizationPerforms region of interest, volume
measuring, CT unit measurements and size measurements.Correctly
uses the contrast injector.Determines most suitable anatomical
posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.Initializes
work.Adds pertinent information to requisition concerning Radiation
Safety, clinical information, procedural notes and checks for
requisition procedural accuracy.Provides care appropriate to
condition and age of the patient, including pediatrics, geriatric
and general population.Corroborates patients clinical history with
procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use
by a licensed practitioner.Prepares patient for procedures;
providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation,
and minimize anxiety.Positions patients respecting patient safety,
ability and comfort.Evaluates images for technical quality and
identification.Performs venipuncture.Assists a licensed
practitioner with interventional
procedures.Qualifications:Education:Completion of a recognized
program of Radiological Science and TechnologyMust have a copy of a
diploma or offical transcript of the highest level of
educationDegrees, Licensures and/or Certifications:Must be ARRT in
at least RadiographyMust possess an Arkansas Radiologic
Technologist LicenseBLS requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:If
Registry eligible applicant will be required to successfully
complete the registry process within one year.American Registry of
Radiological Technologists is preferred.Meets the continuing
education requirements established by the American Registry of
Radiological Technologists.Ability to read, write, speak and
