Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Reviewing and evaluating developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
• Operating and overseeing operation of radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
• Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff
• Positioning imaging equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination
• Explaining procedures and observing patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan Key qualifications to be considered for this include:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T.
  • Current American Heart association BLS certification About Northwest Health
