Job Description:
Find your calling at Mercy! The Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes
the nursing process to deliver high?quality, compassionate patient
care. This role maintains professional accountability for all
assigned patients and evaluates the effectiveness of care provided
by other direct caregivers. The RN collaborates with
interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, upholds patient
rights, and ensures confidentiality of all patient information. All
duties are performed in a manner consistent with our mission,
values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:
Qualifications: Education - Graduate of an accredited registered
professional nursing program. Licensure - Must hold and maintain a
current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure,
meeting all state board of nursing requirements. - Responsible for
maintaining active licensure throughout employment. Physical
Requirements - Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a
regular basis. - Prolonged standing and walking each shift. -
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform
required duties. Required Certifications - Basic Life Support (BLS)
through the American Heart Association, or successful completion
within 30 days of hire. Additional Certifications May be required
based on department, unit, or role. Some may be obtained within a
designated timeframe after hire: - ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life
Support - PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PEARS –
Pediatric Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization - NRP – Neonatal
Resuscitation Program - ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course -
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course - CPHON – Certified Pediatric
Hematology/Oncology Nurse - OCN – Oncology Certified Nurse - C?EFM
– Fetal Monitoring Certification - S.T.A.B.L.E. – Six Assessment &
Care Modules (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work
& Emotional Support) - Other unit?specific certifications as
