Position Summary: Our Women & Children’s services encompass a wide
range of facilities, including 12 Labor & Delivery Suites, 2
Obstetric Operating Rooms, 6 High-Risk Perinatal Suites, 14
Mother/Baby Couplet Care Suites, a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) featuring 19 private suites, and a 20-bed
Pediatric/GYN/Surgical unit. The Transition Nursery RN plays a
vital role in delivering comprehensive care to newborns during
their crucial first two hours of life. Responsibilities include
attending deliveries, performing resuscitation, conducting detailed
assessments, and ensuring the well-being of newborns. You will
administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring
and documenting the newborns’ conditions. Additionally, the RN will
prepare women for cesarean sections (CS) and oversee the recovery
process for both vaginal and CS deliveries. Support tasks such as
stocking supplies and collaborating with the healthcare team,
including obstetricians, pediatricians, and fellow nurses, are also
essential. Requirements: Education: Must have graduated from an
accredited nursing program Licensure: Current Registered Nurse
license in the state of Arkansas Certifications: BLS certification
from the American Heart Association Experience: A minimum of 1 year
in Labor & Delivery is required Experienced L&D RNs Only -
