Missouri Certifications: BLS from AHA, NIHSS (must obtain prior to
start) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry
Experience and competence in drug titration Description: Position
involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care.
Responsible for direct patient care activities for all age groups,
which include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary
departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within
the scope of nursing preparation and according to established
guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.
Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient
care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other
direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with
other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of
patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in
alignment with the organization's mission, values, and service
standards. Must stand and walk most of the time while on duty. May
require bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning
patients with assistance. May be required to work differing
schedules, shifts, or days of the week as per patient care
requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is
present. Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50
lbs., and pinch up to 15 lbs. May require kneeling, crouching, and
crawling minimally. Utilizes nursing processes to provide care for
patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical
comorbidities. Responsible for maintaining effective communication
and collaboration with team members to ensure quality patient care.
Promotes safety and innovation in patient care practices.
