The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the, Manager, House Supervisor and/or Executive Director, and is responsible for the delivery of efficient, safe patient care through the use of the nursing process, hospital policies and procedures. In addition the Registered Nurse works closely with and acts as clinical expert for other professional and ancillary nursing personnel.

Critical Care - required

Typical floating might include general medsurg nursing unit. 48 beds. All medical and surgical diagnosis treated on this unit. typical nurse/pt ration 6:1.

Overview: Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Client Code of Conduct, Client Mission and Values and Client Service Standards.

General Comments
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required, BSN preferred.
Licensure: Current Arkansas license in good standing.
Experience: Minimum of one year ICU experience is preferred.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support or complete upon hire. NIH within 60 days of hire and annually. ASLS education must be performed within 6 months of hire and a minimum of every two years.

Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge required.

Preferred Education: PALS Preferred TNCC Preferred

2 years current med surg experience in a hospital setting. experience with starting IV's, managing PICC lines, central lines. experience with caring for a wide range of medical and surgical diagnosis. BLS required. Will work every other weekend and every other holiday
