Overview: The Registered Nurse in Women's and Children's Services uses the nursing process to coordinate and provide care to patients and their families during the childbearing process or during times of illness of a family member. As such, the RN provides holistic care to the entire family unit during times of transition and stress as well as providing high-acuity nursing in multiple ages and stages (neonate through childbearing years). Nurses working in W& C Services are cross-trained to at least 2 of 5 clinical areas (Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, Intensive Care Nursery, and Pediatrics). On-call hours are required for licensed PT and FT W& C coworkers. Qualifications: * Education : Graduated from an accredited school of nursing (Associates Degree, Diploma, or BSN). * Licensure : Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas. * Certifications : Fetal monitoring basic-advanced: Labor nurses only PALS-pediatric nurses only NRP All women's and children's nurses CPR-All women's and Children's nurses and OBT's * Other : Ability to effectively communicate in English. * Preferred Experience: WC experience preferred; or 1 year experience inMed-Surg Nursing.
