The Role
Director, Client Strategy

What We Are Looking For
The Director of Client Strategy is a client facing, leadership role responsible for the overall direction, strategy, and execution of comprehensive e-commerce programs. Responsibilities include:


  • Set direction and strategy with big ideas and inspiring strategic vision for clients
  • Help develop strategic annual plans based on clients' KPIs
  • Act as the voice of the brand and the voice of the consumer in all client work
  • Lead cross-functional teams on delivering an eCommerce thought-leadership "Point of View" to support client business growth and evolution
  • Build assessments of clients' DTC sites, competitive sites, marketplace presence and retailer shelf sets
  • Track, analyze, and grow client business across multiple eCommerce platforms with the help of our all-star team
  • Decipher insights and craft optimizations and opportunities for clients
  • Drive digital efforts in-store through an understanding of the customer journey and full-funnel Omnichannel tactics
  • Manage project from brief to execution and reporting
  • Navigate challenging client problems through the lens of "the art of the possible"
  • Seek/win opportunities to deepen our collaboration with each client partner
  • Stay abreast of the current market, client industry, category, and technology trends and parlay them into thought leadership for clients

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Proven experience (ideally 4+ years, 1 year supervisory) in a client-facing role within an agency (eCommerce, Shopper, Digital Marketing), with a focus on client service, eCommerce strategy and execution
    • Proficiency in eCommerce platforms is essential: Amazon (1P/3P), Walmart.com/Marketplace, Shopify/DTC, Digital/Omnichannel retail
    • Fundamental knowledge of SEO and retail media - paid, search, social, DSP
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex strategies and concepts to clients and internal stakeholders
    • A collaborative mindset to be a learner and a leader
    • Strong project management skills
    • Ability to lead and inspire a best in class, high performing client team
    • Ability to be nimble and pivot
    • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business, or related field

      In addition to salary, an attractive benefits package will be offered with this position. This role will require 5% travel or less.
