Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? What You Will Do: The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Machinist Technician for 2nd shift . Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period on 1st shift. The training hours are Monday-Friday, 6:30AM to 3:00PM and permanent 2nd shift hours are Monday-Friday, 3:00PM to 11:30PM . PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. Overtime opportunity may be available, after a period of training. Pratt & Whitney PSD is an FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment. Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts. Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements. Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories. Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents. Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met. Maintain a clean work environment Qualifications You Must Have: HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience. Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
