What Sets Specialty Air Conditioning Apart: 100% employer-paid health insurance for you and your family Competitive pay: $28–$35/hour , based on experience Paid holidays and PTO totaling 28 days, with increases after 1 year and 5 years of employment 401(k) with 6% company match Take-home company vehicle with fuel included Tool and boot reimbursement Optional overtime Factory training and certifications Career advancement opportunities through Meriton's national network Hands-on leadership —work alongside experienced leaders, including the founder Work–life balance with manageable schedules and realistic expectations What We Need From You: Ability to troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial and light industrial HVAC systems Diagnose and resolve complex issues with RTUs, split systems, economizers, VFDs, and controls Perform start-ups, commissioning, and retrofits to improve system performance Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and office staff Maintain accurate service documentation Work independently while supporting and guiding junior technicians when needed Deliver quality workmanship, professionalism, and integrity every day Participate in on-call rotation and occasional overtime What Sets You Apart: EPA Universal Certification 2–10 years of commercial HVAC service experience Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills Experience with Daikin, Carrier, Trane, Lennox, or similar systems Knowledge of VRF systems, VFDs, and building automation controls Comfortable mentoring or supporting less-experienced technicians Solid customer service and communication skills Basic technology skills (mobile apps, service documentation) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record P hysical Requirements: Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in field conditions Comfort working on rooftops, ladders, and in tight spaces Ability to stand, kneel, and work for extended periods Manual dexterity for electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work Commitment to following all safety procedures and codes Compensation & Employment Details: Hourly, Non-Exempt (Full-Time) Monday–Friday with on-call rotation and overtime opportunities Pay based on experience, skills, location, and the responsibilities of the role.
