Technician Job Description As a Maintenance Technician, you will be
responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our plant
operations. Your role will involve the installation and repair of
equipment and facilities, as well as performing routine
preventative maintenance. You will contribute to a clean and safe
work environment, adhering to all safety regulations to prevent
personal injury and equipment damage. Responsibilities Adhere to
all plant safety rules and applicable Federal Regulations as set
forth in the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Install and repair
equipment and facilities. Perform routine preventative maintenance
and record actions and findings. Maintain general cleanliness of
the workplace. Ensure the maintenance and repair of machinery and
material handling equipment to prevent personal injury or equipment
damage. Handle and/or move hazardous materials safely, following
proper procedures. Direct the maintenance team in following safety,
health, environmental protection, and housekeeping rules. Identify
root causes for equipment failure and implement necessary repairs
and improvements. Complete all paperwork and computer entries
accurately and thoroughly. Clean work areas after completing daily
tasks and repairs. Assist in writing and following work
instructions. Maintain spare parts inventory. Train new maintenance
employees and manufacturing personnel in appropriate maintenance
techniques. Perform basic welding functions for steel, aluminum,
and stainless steel. Perform basic electrical repairs on 1PH and
3PH systems and read basic wiring drawings. Essential Skills High
school diploma with at least 5 years of general industrial
maintenance experience. Knowledgeable in all aspects of safety,
health, and environmental protection related to plant maintenance
and operations. Ability to participate in and/or lead Continuous
Improvement (CI) teams. Ability to safely lift at least 40 pounds.
Pass the tow motor driving test. Troubleshooting skills to identify
equipment failure causes and preventative measures. Ability to read
and understand blueprints and installation/operating manuals.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with equipment
maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, ladder logic, hydraulics,
pneumatic systems, electrical systems, industrial and mechanical
systems, robotics, Allen-Bradley systems, blueprint reading,
repair, maintenance repair, preventive maintenance, and

environment. Available shifts include the 2nd shift from
3pm-11:30pm with a differential, and the 3rd shift from 11pm-7:30am
with a differential. Initial training will take place on the 1st
