Job Description:
POSITION TITLE: Hourly Mandarin Interpreter/Translator FLSA:
Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Special Programs TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: Hourly Position - As needed. $17/hour for classified;
$25/hour for certified. BEGINNING: Feb/March, 2026 LOCATION: Parker
Center QUALIFICATIONS: Fluent in speaking, reading and writing

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Interpreting and translating in evaluations
and conferences. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules,
administrative regulations, and Board policy. Translate documents.
To maintain accurate and complete records as required by law,
District policy, and administrative regulations. Attend and
participate in staff meetings. Maintain confidentiallity. Maintain
acceptable attendance and be punctual. Cooperate with other members
of the staff in planning and implementing goals, objectives, and
methods. Maintain a safe working condition and safely operate
electronic and other equipment needed to carry out job functions
and responsibilities. Participate in appropriate in-service and
workshop programs and attend required meetings. Display ethical and
professional behavior in working with students, parents, school
personnel, and or outside agencies associated with the school.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain emotional control under stress. Must
have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally. Ability
to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, kneeling,
occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending,
squatting and kneeling. These are intended only as illustrations of
